Trust issues can really eat you alive if you don’t figure out where they’re coming from. Has your husband actually done something to make you not trust him, or is this more about your own insecurities and past experiences? Because those are two very different problems that need different solutions. If he cheated before, your feelings make total sense. But if he hasn’t done anything wrong, you might be sabotaging your own relationship.
If he did break your trust before, you have to ask yourself if you’ve actually forgiven him or if you’re just pretending to. You can’t stay with someone and watch them like a hawk every second. That’s exhausting for you and honestly unfair to him if he’s genuinely trying. Either you’re in or you’re out, but this middle ground is going to destroy both of you.
Maybe try talking to him about how you’re feeling without accusing him of anything. Like say “I struggle with trust and I’m working on it” instead of “I know you’re going to mess around.” The way you say things matters a lot. He might be more willing to reassure you and be transparent if he doesn’t feel like he’s being attacked all the time.
You might also want to talk to a therapist about this because trust issues usually run deep. They don’t just come from nowhere. Whether it’s from childhood stuff, past relationships, or something your husband did, you deserve to feel secure in your own marriage. Life is too short to be paranoid every time your partner leaves the house.
