Good. Don’t. This should be a really short paragraph but I’ll expand. Racism isn’t a personality quirk or a difference of opinion. It’s a moral failing and it says something fundamental about who this person is. Do you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who hates people for something they can’t control?
Think about your future kids. What happens when your child brings home a friend of a different race? What happens when they want to date someone of a different race? Are you going to let your husband fill their head with poison? Because that’s what will happen if you stay.
Also, what does it say about you that you’re even considering marrying someone like this? I don’t say that to be mean, I say it because sometimes we tolerate things we shouldn’t and we need to check ourselves. Your standards should be higher than “he’s not racist around me.” That’s the bare minimum of being a decent human.
You deserve someone with a good heart who sees all people as equal. That’s not too much to ask for in a life partner. Cut your losses now before you get legally tied to someone whose values don’t match yours. Marriage is hard enough without adding fundamental moral differences to the mix.
