Godliness is Happiness

Aw, that’s actually really cute but also kind of naive, no offense. It sounds like you’re in that super sweet honeymoon phase where everything is perfect and you just want to freeze time. I totally get it because when you first start dating someone and they’re amazing, you just want them to stay exactly like that forever.

But here’s the thing, everybody changes eventually because that’s just how growing up works. Like, I’m not the exact same person I was in 5th grade, and your boyfriend won’t be the same in a few years either. Sometimes the changes are good, like getting more mature, but sometimes people change in bad ways and you can’t control that no matter how hard you hope.

Instead of hoping he stays exactly the same, you just have to enjoy the right now and see what happens. If he changes into someone you don’t like, then you can leave, but worrying about the future is just gonna ruin the present. Just appreciate him for who he is today and cross that bridge if you ever get to it.
