As a parent, it’s natural to worry about your son’s future. You may see warning signs that he doesn’t notice. Even so, remember that this is his life, and he has to make his own decisions.
If you’re concerned, talk to him calmly and explain your reasons without attacking his fiancée. Share what you’ve observed instead of making accusations. A respectful conversation is more likely to make him listen than trying to force him to change his mind.
After you’ve shared your concerns, trust him to make his own choice. If he asks for advice later, be there to support him. Parents can guide their children, but they can’t live their lives for them.
